Banana, Spinach & Peanut Butter Smoothie

This smoothie is my favourite! I love to have it for breakfast or post workout as it is super refreshing and nourishing. Plus, it tastes absolutely amazing. Oats, banana and peanut butter will give a boost of good carbs and protein, while spinach will give you a great portion of leafy greens to start off your day!

Note: As with any smoothie recipe, feel free to play around with what you have at home and make it your own. You can substitute coconut milk or soy milk for almond milk, almond butter for peanut butter, etc.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 frozen banana
  • A handful of spinach
  • 1-2 tbs of peanut butter
  • 2-3 tbs of rolled oats
  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup of almond milk (just enough to cover about 1/3 to 1/2 of the ingredients in the blender)
  • A handful of spinach
  • 2 tps nu3 organic superfood smoothie daily greens powder (optional)
  • Granola (for topping, optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Peel and slice the banana and then freeze for about 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Place all ingredients into a blender and then process until smooth.
  3. Top your smoothie with granola before serve. Enjoy!
